From Our Nest to Yours

Hi! I’m Janeth, the founder of The Artist’s Nest.

For a long time, I didn’t see myself as an artist. What I really needed wasn’t talent, but clear guidance and a safe way to learn. That’s what inspired me to create guided paint classes that feel approachable and encouraging from the very first brushstroke.

Today, much of my inspiration comes from painting alongside my two little girls. Creating art together has shown me how powerful simple, pressure-free learning can be—especially when it’s shared. That experience shapes every class we create.

Some classes are designed to be shorter and simpler for families and younger artists, while others invite you to slow down and paint more deeply. No matter the format, learning always comes first.

Many classes feature my sister Karina, a professional artist and teacher, and I guide others myself. We’ll be right there with you—every brushstroke of the way.

Are these paint classes suitable for kids?

Yes! Our paint classes are designed to be kid-friendly and beginner-friendly, with simple, guided instruction that makes painting approachable for young artists.

Some classes—like those in the Colorful Creatures series—are especially well suited for younger kids, with shorter class times (about 45 minutes) and easy-to-follow steps. Other classes, such as scenic or more detailed paintings, are better suited for ages 8+ or for kids who enjoy longer, more focused creative time.

Adults don’t need prior art experience to help—each class includes clear guidance, and we also share helpful tips for painting with little ones, so you can enjoy the experience together.

For paint classes with supplies, all orders ship from California.

  • Ready-to-ship classes typically go out within 1–2 business days.
  • Custom Paint Your Pet classes are created just for you and ship within 3–5 business days.
